{Keep calm ... }

I've already told you about some of my favs stores in Bologna (here), this time I want to show you a different store.

I've found that workshop already few months ago because it's just next door to my favorite Indian Restaurant and to Emanuela's shop, but I've never had the chance to get inside.

I was fascinated from what I saw from the windows. Old frames, wooden chandeliers, antique crowns...

Then when I've organised the housewarming , Federica gave me a fantastic poster for my home. Now I could enter that door and  ask for my frame!

Actually, at the begin I wanted an old one, a gold and antique that I saw by the windows but it was too expensive.

The workshop at the inside it's a totally mess. Wood and sawdust everywhere and a costant smell of the glue and of the paints.

The lady that own the shop, told me that she wants to sell the shop because she's tired, because of the economic crise and because of the shop it's not in one of the popular street, the job has decreased a lot!

I'm so sad when I hear such things. A lot of antique stores closed and will close to make room for famous commercial chains and all of those cute shops will disappear.

I think that a city like Bologna, with the oldest University in the world, should do something to help those workshops to surive. They are the strenght of a city. They are what makes the difference.

Inside I've found so many beautiful things that you can't find anywhere else. This is one of the place where I'd love to take my friends that come to visit me.

The lady helped me found the perfect frame for my poster...

Here it is! It's just perfect for my living room. The color, the frame the quote...
Thanks Fede!!!

{Summer destination - part 2 }

Talking about Summer destination, wouldn't be nice to stay here?

A huge villa with a big garden by the sea....

This is Mona and Jesper Bjørn Christiansen’s villa. They are the owner of the successful Danish design company Green Gate.

Think to dots mugs, flowers, stripes, bright colors and you have Green Gate!

To decor their home they decided to furnished it with a great mixture of French and English country style.

You know my passion for old luggages, I'm still looking for some more and those would be perfect!

Reading a book looking at the sea!

I love their products and I'm seriously thinking to buy some new dots to improve my collection.

I love mugs, napkins, blankets, pillows. I love their combination of colors, even if , as you know, I'm more for neutral palette.

Have a sit and enjoy your Summer holidays!

{Guest Post: Zaira}

My sweet friends,

here I'm with my weekly guest post.

Zaira, the owner of Little Emma English Home is my guest.  I asked her to describe herself and she told me that "... I've always been an employee, but I've always dreamt to do something else, to live 10 different lifes. I love to cook, to take pics, to read and write, to travel and to sing ( I've studied opera for few years). I'm a shy person, but with the help of the music and with the right persons I take out the real me,  revealing my crazy soul.
I've decided to have a blog because I needed to express myself and to share my passions.
Blogging gave me the chance to find again myself.
Now I couldn't do without it!"

I really like her blog and her way to write. She shows beautiful things, most of them aro also my favorites, she talks about herself without filters and she 's not afraid to reveal her lacks.

Visit her blog and you'll see what I'm talking about!!!

Enjoy!

Hello dearest!

When Gaia asked me to guest post

in her wonderful blog

I was so honoured and happy!

She's very talented

I love each post and recently

I discovered what a brilliant photographer she is.

Thank you Gaia!!!

So here I am

Telling you something about me

I'm a simple girl

I like genuine things

Sometimes I think that

Country life

Would be my ideal way of living

-except I'm afraid of bugs-

I have lots of interests

But very little time to follow them all

Sometimes I would like to have 10 lives

and live them all together

I love cooking and baking

Taking photographs

But

Writing

has always been my greatest passion

A bookshop is for me like a jam pot for a bee

If I could be a literary protagonist

I would like to be Elizabeth Bennet

I'm always involved in some new project

Now i want to learn knitting

and sewing

London and Paris are cities after my heart

but my greatest dream is to

Live in a cottage in the English country

I usually go to bed very late at night

and wake up early in the morning

But sometimes I like

to go back to bed after breakfast

And  linger a bit with a book

I'm a dreamy girl

I hope that soon I can find

the perfect one for me

And live in a pretty house with

A garden

Cross my finger xx

Zaira

Thank you Zaira

my finger are crossed for you...

See you soon, but really really soon!!!!

{Max Wanger}

I don't have  too many certainties in life but two of them are my love for photography and for weddings.

I'm sure about that! 100%!

Max Wanger is one of my fav photographer since ever. This is the pics that made me fall in love with his work!

This is the engagement shoot of Joanna and Alex . She is a famous blogger and  a magazine writer in New York (Glamour Magazine blog) .

They used one of the foto to create the wedding save-the-date.

They wrote on the ballon and create a nice post card!

Then browsing on the web I've seen this pics...

and I've discovered it was one of Max's pics! It's not just a coincidence...

Pictures out of time.

I'm so in love with his pics. He knows how to arrive directly to your heart.

You can find him here, here and here

Thank you for your comment and for your guest post...

I'm looking for to receive some more post to cover my holiday's absence!
