{Nice finds & E-Mag Giveaway}

Back to the Antique market!
After a month of break a new season of markets has begun.
Every second weekend of every month it will be punctual at my door!

Last week I had an "home accident"...
I have broken some of my "glasses". A total mess and you can't imagine the pain!
They were with me since I moved with Mr B.!

So...
I waited for the weekend to find some new glasses footed cake plates and vases to replace them!

I've found 2 beautiful early '30 cake plates and a cute vase and the best thing is that I made a great bargain!

I use them a lot, to serve cakes and to set the table when my friends come to dinner!
I felt so terribly when it happened...

And I was so happy when I took home my new glasses!

Aren't they cute?
They are really beautiful and they make more beautiful and "elegant" my trolley!

Then , nosing around on a sunny day I've made another bargain...
Not for the price...
but for the item itself...

My last name starts with a B
Mr B has a B
B is for ... my friend's daughter name
B is for ... a "princess name"
B is for ... dad in italian
B is for ... beautiful

I've found a D too... for Mr B!

The Big Capital B has already found a place on a black wool cardigan sweater...

look forward for more finds!
Aren't you?

Now it's time for a giveaway...I'm not throwing a giveaway but I want you to participate to
MIMI'S GIVEAWAY

Mimi is a great lady of the house

You can find her at Bonjour Romance and from tomorrow also here
at her new creation
Belle Inspiration e-Magazine

and the giveaway is for celebrating the launch of the first issue that is online right now!

I'm honoured and so pleased for having her here.
She gave me the opportunity to help her (I'm one of the collaborators) and I'm thrilled to see the final result!

I've asked her to answer to two questions...

Why an e-Mag?
I think it is the wave of the future.  It is easy to use, and you have the ability to view images across two pages, without the middle crease.  Zooming in and out helps you see each detail. You are able to click on the links and go directly to the sites and blogs of advertisers and contributors.  An e-Magazine offers a full and unique experience.

What Belle Inspiration is about?
About a romantic style of living with an emphasis on keeping it all practical.  Beautiful images and interesting articles.  We want to provide a place to create, share and embrace l'art de la Vivre!

Her motto is

"Put a little ooh la la in your life"

finger crossed for you Mimi!
Thanks a lot (as you said) for your friendship most of all!

I know that you'll love it!

{Bottom drawer }

This is my granny! She's fantastic and I'm not saying that because I love her but because that's the reality. She will be 85 the 27th of March and I want to celebrate her because she's very important to me. She tought me how to make the best Apple pie!!!

Mirella, her name, is a strong woman and she's always has been. She raised two little girl when she was 40, after the death of my grandpa and she took care to the family business.

My granny was a antique dealer and she had also two action houses.

I remember the days spent on her stores. Touching everything, smelling the old furniture that arrived from all over the world with her teaching me the name, the period, the material of all the objects.
I feel so melanchony when I'm thinking about it!

She quit her job less than 10 years ago and she spend her time cooking, readind, doing cross words and with us! We don't live in the same city, but I try to visit her the more I can!

She's a great cook...Her pie, her vegetables, the soups are unforgettable, a pleasure for every senses!

I like to stay with my mom, my aunt ( my mom's twin) and my granny. It's like 3 generations spending time all togehther, sharing ideas, lots of laugh and talk.

This evening , after dinner, my granny decided it was time to give to me all the things she put aside for me during those years.

"Now that you have your own home you need all those things, you can have them all, but be careful treat them in the right way, wash by hand the tablecloth and iron gently. Do you want me to wash everything?" what she said!

Rich linens, embroidered linens and towels, antique tablecloths and her glasses collection, what I love the most!

Depression glass or christal... Little domes, little pots...

She made me so happy and maybe she didn't even know how important this it for me!

More than a jewel , more than everything. She told me everything about all the glass....
"This was your old granny's pot", "I remember I used the tablecloth when your mom and aunt had been baptized"
...

This is the perfect gift for my new home! I can't wait to get in and start my new life with Mr B.!

I love you granny!

p.s.: don't miss the giveaway!

{Country Interior}

Have you ever dreamt to open your own store?
Well...I dream my store every day, and I dream that it looks like to that one, or at least this is my idea of what I'd like to sell. I'd like to have a little bakery and a cafè inside my store too, with few tables so people that come to visit me will enjoy my cookies and cakes... but this is a big project!

My last post was about the exhibition of roses in a gardenhouse... As I told you, ther was not only roses and flowers but everything you need to decorate the inside and the outside of your house . Cages, candles, dishes, fragrances...

(Picture below: the a dark spot it's my camera belt...not very professional!)

What do you dream?
What would it be your perfect job?

{Dome}

from here

I love glass and everything is made of it, especially the Domes. I do not know how many I have , I collect them, everytime I found them in a store or at the fleas market I cannot resist from buying it. I use it to cover cakes and cookies, to protect cheese or simply as a decor .
