{Icons}

Jackie'O , today, would have celebrate her 80's birthday. She has been the First Chic Lady and she's still a timeless icon of elegance and style: An example for many women for her strenght and for her love for her family.

Jacqueline "Jackie" Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis was born on July 28, 1929 and died May 19, 1994. She was the wife of the 35th president of the United States John F Kennedy (when he was sworn in as president on January 20, 1961, Jacqueline became, at age 31, one of the youngest First Ladies in history), mother of John John Kennedy (who died with his wife Caroline Bessette in a plane crash, as did Lauren Bessette, Carolyn's sister, on July 16, 1999) and Caroline Bouvier Kennedy.
She became a symbol of fashion for women all over the world. Do you remember her famous pillbox hats and her Hermes head scarves or the large, round, dark sunglasses?

Gucci loved her style and gave her name to a bag: the Jackie O .

There are so many women I like that I consider icons of style or behaviour. My first non-famous icon is my mom, I have already told you everything about her. I'd like to be as strong as she is.
Mother of three at 21! She survived!

Then I think Grace Kelly, Jane Birkin, the timeless Audrey, the new Michelle Obama (I just love her!!!) and many others are icons in different ways. Don't you think?

Do you have a non famous icon to whom you are inspired? And famous?

Goodnight!

{Icon of Style}

Inès de la Fressange is a French supermodel and designer of fashion and perfumes ... She was one of the most famous top model in the 80's (she began her modeling career in 1974; some gave her the nickname of “the talking model”) when she became the first model to sign an exclusive modeling contract with Chanel, by fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld whose muse she became.

Now she is a businesswoman with a chain of clothing boutiques, a designer, and a consultant for Jean Paul Gaultier. She presented a creation by Gaultier for his Spring/Summer 2009 haute couture collection at the Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week and walked the runway for Gaultier during the event, at age 51. She collaborate with Parisian designer Bruno Fissoni to relaunch the Roger Vivier’s haute couture shoes, for which she became art director then chairman...

She's beautiful with an innate elegance...whatever she wears, jeans and converse or an haute couture dress, she is amazing...

{Fiat meets Barbie}

A special shocking pink Fiat 500 has been created, in conjunction with Mattel, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the iconic Barbie doll. This exceptional vehicle will be given officially to Barbie® on 9 March next, at her fiftieth birthday celebrations in Milan.
The pink and cream Alcantara seats are laminated in silver, with a glimmer that "bounces as far as the roof panel." Interior bezels, hubcaps, window mouldings, and the attena are lined in crystals. Crystals are also used to replicate Barbie's silhouette on the pillars.

What can I say? I want it!

{Confession of a Shopaholic}

This post is dedicate to my friend Ms F. and to all the "SHOPAHOLICS" out there, all over the world...because there is a Rebecca Bloomwood (Isla Fisher) inside each of us.
I read all the Sophie Kinsella's books and I've already seen the trailer and I can't wait to see the movie.
There are some little differences between the movie and the book, first of all, the city: in the movie Becky lives in New York City and not in London.

The movie will be on theater February 13th

She's always been an "icon of style" since her first appearance, she changed her style following the trends and the fashions of the moment. In 1985, even Andy Warhol celebrated the doll in a famous painting.
For that Anniversary, Christian Louboutin, famous shoes designer, will create a pair of pump in Pantone Barbie 219 Pink in her honour. The shoes, as the 50 world-renowned fashion designers' creations, will be presented on February 14 during the Mattel fashion show in the Tent at Bryant Park in NYC.
