{The Art of Sewing}

I'm trying to learn to use my mother's sewing machine. When I started I thought it would have been easier and sometimes I feel so disappointed when I can't do what I've in mind.

I'm so envious when I see what people can do with the sewing machine. This is the case of Charlotte Macey

Charlotte Macey Textiles is a small English handmade textile company in the heart of the Cotswolds that produces each item by hand and is continually inspired by the colours of the countryside that she has grown up with.

All Charlotte's products are made using high quality, locally sourced fabrics, to blend well with her distinctive and fresh designs.

I really like Charlotte's creations, they are simple and cute made of fantastic fabrics!

I'm working hard to learn to do more than a pillow because I like to make my own things, especially because usually I cannot find in stores what I like, and that it's on my mind!

Inspired by her travels abroad, specifically to Vienna and Paris, her jewelry line captures her style and love of historical architecture and romantic clothing. The name, "Petit Rococo" comes from the French word ‘petit’ meaning small and Rococo in reference to the 18th century art movement. The combination of these words presents the wearer with something a little feminine and romantic.

Hi Maddie, welcome to my Wonderland. Can you tell us something about you and about your jewels? How and when everything started?
In December 2009 after I was laid off from my work I decided to pursue jewelry desig.

* How do you create your jewels? Where do you get the inspiration?
I am inspired by color, romantic clothing, art, vintage jewelry, and the baroque time period

* What do you love in life, aparte creating amazing jewels?
I love traveling, reading, listening to music, and thrift shopping

* Last question... The blogland is full of talented girls, would you like to share with us your favorites?

{Peonies}

Finally they arrived...

Peonies are my favorites flower ever! I love them all , pink, white, red, Italian, french, chinese... whatever!


I would fill my house with peonies every day if only would be possible. I bought them on friday and my home is full of them.



I'm amazed at the way they've cheanged since I brought them home. Sme of them were still closed at the shop and at home they magically opened up !



I've bought two type: french (the pink) and an italian quality: Mantovana.




As I've already told you I love things with personality and peonies, I think, have a strong personality... They look like a big rose but they are better, they smell better than any other flower. I love their "fluffiness". I won't get married but If I had to choose my bouquet flower it would be made of peonies! A simple bouquet of big beautiful peonies!

I had an amazing weekend... Saturday I've been in my kitchen all day long to prepare a dinner for friend for a kind of inauguration of our nest, then a tour to the antique market where we found beautiful linen (I'll use them for pillows and for my sofa) ... I'm still looking for curtains for my kitchen...
