{Cottage Inspiration}

Thank God this week is at the end...

What about to move for the weekend to your holiday home? Faraway from pc, telephone, Tv, noise? I'm thinking to an isolated beach, with some friends , barbecue in the evening, sea and beach all day long, barefoot for the entire weekend to recharge the battery for another week!


This could be the right place. In France, a couple, bought this old fisherman's home in "Les Portes" one of the most quaint village of the Ile de Rè


They renewed la maison from head to toe using simple materials, neutral colors and mixing different style with à fil rouge... A touch of red everywhere!

It took 18 weeks to give a new face to that old house and the result is stunning!


It could be a lamp, a box or a "cafè" sign. Red is everywhere!


It's not the typical Cottage with blu everywhere, shells, stripes. It's something different. An old house that still has that old atmosphere and flavours but with a new face! It could be a family house where to spend every summer and weekends and where always come back . Full of memories, this is a place you can call "Home"...



The old style fridge is perfect for that simple kitchen. Nothing too modern or too new.


Three bedrooms each with a defined style and romantic names "Bois de la Rose", "Bois de Sable" and "Bois Flottè"




Two old shutters divide the "salle de bain" from the bedroom.

Saturday I spent the entire day outdoor!

We took my vespa and we went to the hills that surround the city. In just few minutes from the city center we were immersed in an extraordinarily beautiful view... Green all over at 360° with a magic view of all the city!



We had lunch at "Nonno" ( GrandPa!) one of the classic place to go when the nice season begin! We were with our friends, it's always nice to spend time toghether when we have free time, cause during the week it's so difficult.

It a very classic, not stylish (but for me very stylish!) in the conventional way and always full of people! I love that place: it reminds me when I was younger and I use to go there very often with my friends after study session afternoon!

It's the perfect place for families with children, couples, friends...everybody!



Paper placemat and simple food, sun , chats about a future wedding, next holidays, footbal, projects, and a lot of pics!


A quick tour near home for some shopping, some strawberries, flowers, bread... and then started to rain....and It's still rain!



This group is amazing, they play jazz . We bought their Cd...You never know maybe one day they will be famous...

{Looking for Summer}

Finally May...A month that I adore because Spring is at his best ( or it's supposed to be...!) and summer is at the door! May is simply in the Middle...

We start going out in cotton dresses, t-shirts, ballerinas, no more wool or coats or tights and even before we realize it we are at the beach wearing bikinis!


I'd love to wear one of the Lilibon's collection. The sexy, custom-made French lace suits are designed by Emilie Bon! Not the usual swim-suit but a modern version of Brigitte Bardot's bikinis wore in Saint Tropez beaches!

Ok, maybe you (and I) won't look like the Divine BB but aren't the cute? French Retro style and soft colors (cream, rose pink, periwinkle, and gray) the perfect combination!




I'm looking for a one piece and I'd love exactly the one above!



But even that bikini will be ok!




When I was younger Summer was defenitely my fav season, maybe 'cause i had 3 months of holidays from school or because I spent every single day at the beach with no worries for home works. Now (that I'm not so young!) I have to admit that I appreciate every season for many reason but Summer still has his place of honour in my heart...

My 10 reasons to love Summer :

1) walking barefoot on the sand
2) my turquoise bike
3) sea, sun and beach and lazy days!
4) figues, peaches and watermelon
5) the scent of the suntan lotion
6) light texture dresses
7) the beach at 6.00 in the afternoon and that light breeze that comes form the sea
8) eating outdoor drinking iced wine
9) the light...day are longer on Summer!
10) that feeling of freedom...

summer is your season? Why...JUST A REASON TO LOVE IT OR TO HEAT IT!
